About History's Hook
History’s Hook, is an hour-long show that will bring you interesting and informative stories from Maury County's past in an effort to connect the history in our own back yard to the big events that compose national and world history. A new topic will be explored every week featuring experts and eye-witnesses to the events and places being talked about. This is not your high school history class! We’re going to make history fun and compelling. We’re going to get you hooked!
About Tom Price
Tom Price is an encyclopedia of historical knowledge. He earned a BA in History at the State University of New York and was awarded an NEH Fellowship in Museum Collections Management at the University of Delaware. He has been curator of the Governor Silas Wright House Museum and Director of the St. Lawrence County Archives in New York. Tom was chosen to be the curator of the President James K. Polk Museum in 1996 and held that position for 21 years, receiving awards from the Tennessee Historical Commission, the Southeastern Museums Conference, and the Tennessee Association of Museums. Tom Price is currently the Director of the Maury County Archives. His job is to learn, record and preserve the history of Maury County, Tennessee through the millions of records in his charge. Tom knows history and he will now present his findings to all, on air!
