Dr. Chris Marczak is the Superintendent of the Maury County Public Schools system in Maury County, Tennessee. As the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Marczak’s mission is to celebrate, share, and inform the community of the amazing things taking place inside the walls of 22 schools, with approximately 13,000 students being led by almost 2,000 employees with seven Keys to College and Career Readiness.

These guests talk about what’s happening that the community needs to know about, in addition to critical areas of public education that have a dramatic impact on the greater good. With Maury County Public Schools being the third largest employer in the county, we invite everyone to jump on the bus each week to learn and smile with all of the awesome things our school system is doing for Maury County!
Dr. Marczak has been the Superintendent of Maury County Public Schools since August, 2015. Dr. Marczak has won various awards such as a 2017 National School Boards Association’s “20 to Watch” educational technology leader award recipient and the Boys and Girls Club of America New Board Member of the Year Beverly Burton Award. Dr. Marczak leads trainings across Tennessee as a leader of district and principal professional development, SMART goal implementation, Professional Learning Communities, and the impact of Social Media on the Superintendency for the TN Organization of School Superintendents. Dr. Marczak is also an adjunct professor at both David Lipscomb and Trevecca Nazarene Universities, in Nashville, TN, where he teaches in the Doctoral programs for both Educational Leadership and Instructional Technology in Educational Leadership. Prior to coming to Maury County, Dr. Marczak was the Assistant Superintendent in Oak Ridge Schools in Tennessee, a district Lead Principal with Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, an elementary principal and assistant principal, and an elementary teacher with Wilson County Schools and Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools; McGavock Elementary, where Dr. Marczak served as principal, earned Reward status by being one of the top 10% elementary schools in the state of Tennessee in 2012.
Dr. Marczak and his wife, Sheila, have been married since 1995 and have four daughters; Zoe, Maxine, Darbey, and Riley.
